Mission
Project CURA was established to provide health education and primary prevention for underserved and minority populations of Omaha and eastern Nebraska. This mission coincides with the Jesuit ideals of Magis, Cura Personalis, and a dedication towards men and women for others.
Action
Project CURA has been involved in health education in schools and communities, health screenings, health and science fairs, and other projects within the Omaha community and on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Project CURA has expanded to a global recognition of inadequate healthcare in areas such as Peru, India, Kenya, Romania, and southeast Asia.
Impact
During the last four years, over 200 students have provided education, service, and assistance to approximately thousands of people, domestically and internationally.
