Againdra K. Bewtra obtained his medical degree (MBBS) and a graduate degree (MD) in Pharmacology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. Following his residency at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, he completed his Allergy and Clinical Immunology fellowship at Creighton University. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Department of Internal Medicine and the Department of Biomedical Sciences. He is very active in the teaching of medical students, resident, fellows and graduate students. In addition, he is actively involved in basic and clinical research in allergic diseases and asthma.  His main interest is in molecular signaling mechanisms in eosinophil functioning.  He has an ongoing protocol in the replacement therapy of C-1 Esterase Inhibitor in the treatment of Hereditary Angioedema.
