It is not enough to provide didactic experiences addressing issues of multiculturalism. Medical students must be involved in the day-to-day clinical experiences in community settings. The trainees must be able to observe and practice what they have learned in the classroom in realistic settings role-modeled by multi-culturally competent faculty.

Our project involves increasing student clinical off-site ambulatory health care experiences that all medical students receive at under-served clinical sites.
