Introduction-
To access password protect School of Medicine resources, you must
use your Blue domain account. It is highly
recommended that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or
later. The use of other browsers is not officially supported and are
not guaranteed to work.
Getting
your login information-
To log into Blue you must first know your NetID. Your NetID is 8
characters long and is your initials plus 5 numbers e.g. abc12345.
Your NetID is printed on your Creighton ID for easy access. If
you do not have your ID handy you can use the online address book
by:
- Go to the
Creighton
Medical Student homepage.
- Click on the address book link.
- Enter your first and last name.
- Your NetID
is listed in the box on the right side. Your NetID is the 8
character string to the left of the @. For example a NetID of
abc12345 is listed in the address book as
abc12345@creighton.edu.
Your default password for
Blue is doit@ and the last for digits of your Social Security
Number e.g. doit@1234. For security reasons it is a good idea
you change your password from the default, especially before it
expires. You can change your
password by logging into a computer
with your Blue account and then pressing ctrl+alt+delete and then
selecting the change password option.
If you forget this
password or it has expired, you will need to go to the
HelpDesk
located near the Reinert Library with a photo ID to get it reset.
How to log in-
When you select a link that is password protected, you will be greeted
by one of two types of log in boxes. The first type of log in box
is referred to as a three-line login box. This box will contain a line for
your username, password and domain. For this box you will need to enter
your NetID for your username, in the password section you will use
your Blue password, and for domain you will need to enter 'Blue'
without the quotes.
The second type of log in box is referred to as a
two-line login box and
will contain a line for your username and a line for your password. For username
you will need to enter: 'Blue\' without the quotes, followed
by your NetID. For example a person with the NetID of abc12345 would
enter 'Blue\abc12345' without the quotes. For the password
you would use your Blue domain password.
