About Us
As of October 2010, it has been SIX YEARS since the Magis Clinic began providing quality acute medical attention at no price to the homeless and uninsured. We currently offer three regularly-scheduled clinics on a weekly or biweekly basis: Acute Care Clinic, Psychiatry Clinic, and Sexual Health Clinic. Additionally, at various points throughout the year, our specialty clinics provide diabetic care, pediatric vaccinations, influenza vaccinations, and other services to our patients. The commitment of Creighton student and physician volunteers, as well as the compassion of donors, have allowed the following:
- Over 2,500 new patients
- 500+ patients in 50 days of Saturday clinics (including repeat visitors)
- $50,000 in private donations and grants
- 475 students volunteer at the Magis Clinics each year
- 60 Creighton physicians staff the Magis clinics
- Expansion into new space provided by the Siena/Francis House
- The Annual Magis Classic Golf Tournament raises close to $20,000 and sponsors have already committed to next year's tournament
- 2 specialty clinics - Diabetes Education Clinic and the Pediatric Vaccination Clinic are very popular
- 200+ volunteers from Creighton School of Medicine experienced hands-on patient care
Thank you to all participants and volunteers for your support and generosity. We look forward to an even more productive future and strive to continue to provide quality humanistic care to underserved patient populations.
