We invite Omaha area physicians to become a part of the Magis Clinic. There are many ways to express your support. Most of all, we would appreciate your contribution as a volunteer physician. Magis Clinic is always in need of physicians who can donate their time and your help on even one Saturday afternoon would be of tremendous value. Working with Magis affords physicians an opportunity to help in the community and a unique chance to teach enthusiastic students.
How the clinic runs:
The way the clinic runs is that the first and second year medical students take the HPI and vitals, the 3rd & 4th year students do the examination with or without the physician in the room (there are 2 examination rooms). Then the physician decides treatment/Rx/referrals. There will be a Clinic Manager present at each clinic to answer any questions about procedures and meds. (We currently do not prescribe Narcotics and we only do emergency Dental referrals.) We fill all scripts on site or have a local pharmacy fill it for us.
