Creighton Medicine/Pediatrics is administered by the Creighton University Department of Medicine with cooperation from the Creighton-Nebraska Universities Health Foundation Pediatrics Residency.  This program took its first class in 1986.  Four positions are available each of the four years of training year.  First year med/peds residents are fully integrated with  21 internal medicine first-year residents and 12 pediatric first-year residents.  Over 50% of our graduates have gone into primary care, many within our Midwestern region.  (See "Where Do Our Graduates Go?")  In order to obtain adequate seasonal exposure to illness, the training periods vary from year to year.  Residents alternate between medicine and pediatrics.
