Kristin Berg recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a degree in biochemistry. Kristin volunteered at the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minneapolis for three years, and at a soup kitchen supported by Loaves and Fishes when her schedule allowed. She also volunteered by tutoring grade school children at People Serving People in Minneapolis. Kristin was co-president of the Biochemistry Club, and a peer mentor through Bio-Buds. Kristin also worked on a research project dealing with age-related macular degeneration for about two years. Kristin wanted to attend Creighton because of the curriculum set-up, supportive network of teachers and students, and the school’s good reputation. She loves children and working with them and their families, and wants to become a pediatrician.
