Melody Brewer graduated from the University of San Diego in the spring of 2004. She graduated with a Biology major and Chemistry minor. Melody was born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming until she was 18, when she left for college in the big city of San Diego. She has loved both the experience of a big city and a small town, but finds that Omaha is a combination of the two. Melody volunteered through the University of San Diego helping with Special Olympics, sand bagging for the recent fires, tutoring other students, and other small involvements. Melody is looking at reconstructive surgery for her profession after graduating from medical school, but she is not set on any specialty at this point. She is very impressed with Creighton Medical School at this point. She is looking forward to spending more time and getting to know the other 119 students of her class. Melody really enjoys the teachers and the closeness she feels to all of the students and teachers involved with the program. She is looking forward to completing the program because she feels it will be great preparation and practice for becoming a physician. Creighton is a great school and really works to help their students and make sure they are happy, balanced and prepared as a physician.
