Willa Crosby
Bakersfield, CA
Willa Crosby is a native of Bakersfield, California, but has lived in Los Angeles for the last five years.  She graduated Suma Cum Laude from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics.  She received a Masters of Science in Biology from California State University, Dominguez Hills.  While at Loyola, she was a member of the Honors Program, the Belles Service Organization, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, Beta Beta Beta Biology Honors Society, Associated Students of LMU, Resident Housing Association, First Year Council, and Senior Council.  She was the President of both Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honors Society and Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honors Society, and the Vice President of the LMU Math Club. She also worked as a teacher’s assistant in the Math Department.  Upon graduation, Willa was awarded the Outstanding Graduate in the Math Department, Outstanding Graduate in the College of Science and Engineering, and the Clinton Albertson Award for the Outstanding Graduate in the Honors Program.  While pursuing her Master’s Degree, Willa worked as a part-time professor in the Math Department at Loyola.  Willa has always loved working with kids; therefore, she sees herself becoming a pediatrician, possibly with an emphasis in Genetics.  She chose to attend Creighton University School of Medicine because of the school’s environment and reputation, its Jesuit influence, and its students and faculty.
