Amy Kerkvliet graduated Summa Cum Laude from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD with degrees in Biology and Spanish. As an undergraduate student she was a member of the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society, Circle K Volunteer Organization, and was on the central committee of the 2003 Viking Days Homecoming Celebration. Amy also volunteered in the Intensive Care Unit at Sioux Valley Hospital. She chose to attend Creighton University School of Medicine because she found the students and faculty to be extremely supportive and enjoys learning in a noncompetitive environment.
