Aaron Konrad graduated from Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) in 1999 with a degree in mathematics and religion. At Augustana College Aaron was involved in the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, and a youth ministry called Young Life. After working in youth ministry from 1999-2001, Aaron attended the University of Iowa to take pre-medical classes a pursue a career in medicine. At the University of Iowa he worked as a nursing assistant on an adult psychiatry unit and volunteered on the pediatrics unit at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He wanted to attend Creighton Medical School because of its strong emphasis in service to humanity, especially in underserved populations. He is interested in practicing medicine in underserved populations and feels that medicine is a great calling in life.
