Associate Chair for Academic Affairs
The Associate Chair for Academic Affairs will assist the Chair in ensuring effective evaluation programs for faculty performance. This includes systematic, timely and appropriate evaluations of faculty progress toward promotion and tenure; ensuring appropriate and effective processes for evaluation, appointment, reappointment and promotion of contributed service faculty; fostering a strong positive relationship with contributed service faculty (e.g. regular communication, recognition/awards for service, etc.). Expanding intramural and extramural communication of Department accomplishments (including annual reports, newsletters, public relations announcements, and webpage updates) is also planned.
