Academic Affairs Goals for 2004-2005

1.      Provide expanded leadership opportunities for junior and mid-career faculty.

2.      Increase institutional and community visibility of faculty accomplishments.

3.      Enhance faculty development programs in education and research.

4.      Clarify mechanisms to promote non-tenure track clinical faculty.

5.      Ensure new faculty receive consistent, high quality orientation to their division, department and school.

 

Academic Objectives

A1.              Develop criteria and plan for promotion of non-tenure faculty.

A2.              Conduct a leadership development retreat for division chiefs/associate chairs.

A3.              Re-evaluate protected time and resources for new clinician educator faculty.

A4.              Establish a department development office.
