Clinical Goals for 2004-2005

1.      Expand faculty and clinical programs in critical care/pulmonary medicine, endocrinology, nephrology, hematology/oncology, dermatology, and gastroenterology.

2.      Expand clinical programs for diabetic patients.

3.      Expand clinical programs in South Omaha and Sarpy County.

4.      Improve outpatient medical records by promoting development of electronic medical record systems.

5.      Promote improved systems for billing and collection for clinical services.

6.      Improve customer service (e.g. communication with referring physicians, patient satisfaction with service, etc.

7.      Develop and implement airway center to enhance collaborative clinical program development in respiratory system diseases.

Clinical Objectives

C1.          Finalize plans for clinical program expansion related to new Ambulatory Care Building.

C2.          Market/expand clinical diabetes program.

C3.          Work with CUMC re establishing hospitalist program.

C4.          Work on developing West Omaha specialty medicine location.

C5.          Develop new community based general internal medicine clinics.

C6.          Work with CMA on expanding quality of care measures.
