If the clinics are closed, Operations Managers will notify “essential” personnel if they are required to report to work. Employees required to work, will be given compensatory time off equal to the total hours worked. Compensatory time off must be used within the fiscal year.
When the clinics remain open and an employee does not report to work, they will be required to take vacation time. Employees who report to work will be given compensatory time off equal to the total hours worked. Compensatory time off must be used within the fiscal year.
In the event the decision is made to close the Department during the day, Operations Managers will be notified and are responsible for informing all personnel within their area. Every attempt to release employees should be made, however, staff may be required to stay until patients have been contacted to cancel appointments and all patients in clinic have been seen. Any employee required to stay past the official closing time will be given compensatory time off equal to the time worked past closing. Employees, who leave work before an official closing, will be required to take vacation time.
