Policy:
Research support (protected time) for new clinician
educators on tenure-track at the Instructor of Assistant Professor level.
Procedures:
1. Each new clinician educator on the tenure track at the level of Instructor of Assistant Professor would be funded by the Department for 5 hours per week for two years.
2. The faculty member and the Division Chief can apply for a 3rd year of support if the faculty member has satisfactorily completed his/her research objectives.
3. The Division could support additional research of up to an additional 5 hours per week for the first two years..
