Policy:     

To provide a convenient relocation program for University employees; to establish guidelines for the relocation process; and, to provide cost effective contract suppliers as part of the relocation process.

At the discretion of the involved Academic Dean and/or Vice President, moving expenses incurred by new full-time faculty members, professional employees, and administrators may be paid or reimbursed up to a maximum of $1,000; expenses incurred over $1,000 may be paid or reimbursed up to a maximum of 75% on an additional $6,500.  All costs over $7,500 will be paid in full by new employees.  Exceptions to this policy may be made only by the President of the University.

B.       Department of Medicine Policy:

At the time of negotiations with new faculty, the Division Chief should adhere to these guidelines.  Any exceptions must be approved by the Department Chairman and have a letter of approval from the University President.
