The Associate Chairs will review the CV of prospective faculty members who will be starting as Associate Professor or Professor at the time of the Letter of Consideration is prepared for the candidate. This alerts the Associate Chairs of the progress in recruiting faculty members.
1. When the Division Chief and Department Chair decide to prepare a Letter of Consideration and the proposed rank will be Associate Professor or Professor, the candidate's CV will be presented to the Associate Chairs. This presentation will not delay the presentation of the Letter of Consideration to the candidate. [Attachment #1]
2. The Associate Chairs will review the candidate's CV and proposed rank and whether it will be tenure or non-tenure. Any objections to this candidate will be discussed. The objections may be presented to the Division Chief for further consideration.
3. This will only be an advisory review only.
4. For candidates who will be division chiefs or center directors, Dr. Rich will review the Letter of Consideration with one of the Associate Chairs, as appropriate. This Letter of Consideration may be presented to all of the Associate Chairs for further discussion.
