Akhilesh K. Sharma, M.D.

Akhilesh Sharma graduated from the University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi India.  He completed two internships, one in Internal Medicine at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and the other in Emergency Medicine at Mata Chanan Devi Hospital, both in New Delhi India.  Dr. Sharma completed a Residency Program at Lady Hardinge Medical College in Internal Medicine in Delhi India and a second Residency Program in Internal Medicine at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn Michigan.  He completed his Fellowship in Infectious Disease at Creighton University Medicine Center. In 2002, Dr. Sharma began practicing at the VA Medical Center in Omaha.  He is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.  Dr. Sharma has a full-time faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine.  If you would like to contact Dr. Sharma, you may do so by calling 280-4180.
