Congratulations to this year's new MHSSA officers!

Welcome to the Minority Health Science Student Association (MHSSA) at Creighton University!

MHSSA is an organization that fosters a community “spirit” among students, faculty and the administration of the Creighton University Medical Center Health Professions schools. It is an organization that is dedicated to supporting and promoting the academic and social needs of minority professional students. 

Through various activities, MHSSA provides support and an enriching environment for students of all ethnic groups and cultural backgrounds.  MHSSA also provides a mechanism for networking among all Health Science students and opportunities for community outreach activities.

The purpose of MHSSA is:

1.)    To provide a supportive and enriching environment for the students of all ethnic groups and cultural backgrounds.

2.)    To establish a recognized and on-going organization for minority students in the health science programs at Creighton University.

3.)   To work with the health science administration to develop a curriculum sensitive to issues of cultural and ethnic diversity, thus providing future health science professionals with the skills and sensitivity needed to meet the demands of a multicultural society.
