Creighton University is hosting a Grand Rounds Panel Wednesday, May 4, 2005 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Morrison Seminar Room, Creighton University Medical Center hospital, 601 N. 30th Street.

The discussion, entitled “Lack of Health Insurance in the U.S.: Causes, Consequences and Cures” will feature Creighton faculty members providing commentary and posing questions to the audience. Anna Maio, M.D., assistant professor of Medicine, will describe the American College of Physicians’ proposal to provide health care for all; Richard O’Brien, M.D., professor of Health Policy and Ethics, will analyze the effects of insurance reform proposals on middle class families; and Eugene Rich, M.D., professor and chair of the Department of Medicine, will describe the segments of the population that are currently uninsured.
