Creighton Pediatric Interest Group
Shadowing
Creighton Medical Students have the opportunity to shadow Dr. Yaghmour and Dr. Fernandez at Creighton and one of the Hospitalists at Children's Hospital. These are both valuable opportunities for students to gain a greater understanding of what it means to work in Pediatrics. It's open to all students including first and second year students. Tar Wars
Another activity managed by the Pediatric Interest Group is the Tar Wars. These are anti-tobacco presentations given to 5th graders. We plan to work with UNMC on this activity. Usually 3 or 4 medical students work together. Keep following us for more information as it comes!
American Academy of Pediatrics Membership
We encourage our Pediatric Interest Group members to join the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Membership is $16 dollars a year. This is something that looks really good when applying to Residency Programs.
